DRUMATICS
Live West African drums. DJ. Dance. Connection. Sober partying.
DRUMATICS is a live dance experience combining the raw energy of West African percussion with electronic music and facilitated dance.Throughout the night, we move between live drumming, DJ sets, and the two coming together. At times, our dance facilitator will guide the room through movement and shared experiences. At others, the space is completely yours — to dance, explore, connect, or simply be.Our dance facilitators will teach you completely beginner-friendly West African dance steps that are closely connected to the rhythms of the drums — movements you can take with you as inspiration onto the free dance floor.

About the facilitatorsWe are a team of drummers, DJs, and facilitators — some of us with West African culture running through our blood, and others learning closely from the source.

Drumming has been a powerful tool for just that on his own journey.

Kalle / Kalleology (DJ & Drummer)https://www.instagram.com/kalleology/Except for pancakes, Kalle is a big fan of drumming and DJing. Just like he enjoys his pancakes both savoury and sweet, he enjoys mixing a wide range of genres with the intention to make you move, sweat, and scream.

Living and working within the spiritual and ecological research community of Damanhur in Northern Italy, Tritone has spent years exploring the intersection of high-fidelity sound design and biological intelligence. His work is defined by a sensitive musicality that treats the electrical fluctuations of plants not as random data, but as a sophisticated, living language.
Simon Von Stumpenhusen (Drummer)https://www.facebook.com/simon.vonstumpenhusenJust a dude that likes to occasionally hit a drum.
We want to create a different kind of night out. What happens when the fierce vibrancy of West African rhythm and dance meets the gentleness of a conscious gathering?DRUMATICS brings these worlds together on the dance floor — with West African dance traditions shared by teachers rooted in them.No alcohol or drugs needed — just rhythm, movement, and the dance floor we create together.
We want to create a space where you are not simply watching or consuming something, but are part of what is happening. The boundary between audience and performer becomes less important. The music responds to the room. The room responds to the music.
We believe music and dance can bring us closer to ourselves and to each other. They can bring us into our bodies and create moments where we feel fully present, engaged, and alive.DRUMATICS takes inspiration from conscious dance, ceremony, club culture and the ancient human instinct to gather around rhythm — without trying to be only one of those things.Come dance with us.
